Yeah -- I agree. With the almost painterly look of the head, it sorta makes sense to me that the clothing would have rough, visible brushstrokes, too.

It brings the texture of the cloth more into line with the rest of your rough-hewn world.

Totally agreed! I still wasn't sure where I wanted to go with this untol I stripped off the orange undershirt and there was the foam, all kind of grungy and rough-hewn, and very earth-toned. Then I knew that's how the clothes needed to look.

Interesting side note.... the paint has stiffened the fabric to the extent that I don't think I need to worry about it fluttering anymore (like Kong's fur).

Rock on! I heard tell that the Stones--many many years ago--stripped a nice suburban recording studio down the the gritty shitty brick, ripped up the nice clean and new wall to wall carpeting to the subflooring, and generally got down to what you have here with Huck. They needed to strip away all the pleasant civility in order to get down to their lewd sound.
