And I think I know who you are.... the producer of the set, right? I searched the net for info about this and found a few great writeups by you about it. Nice to see such hands-on approach, and such personal dedication. You obviously take great pride in this (and I'm sure for good reason!).Darkmattershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15410415900992364189noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25910439.post-1160789938939525592006-10-13T20:38:00.000-05:002006-10-13T20:38:00.000-05:00Heh yeah.... By my reckoning, the widescreen titles on the BFI disc have a vertical resolution of more than double the versions on the non-anamorphic NTSC Kino disc (576 versus approx. 270).Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-25910439.post-1160534843738359882006-10-10T21:47:00.000-05:002006-10-10T21:47:00.000-05:00Thanks for the post about that Mike.If it's releas...Thanks for the post about that Mike.<BR/>If it's released in PAL format can the NTSC be far behind? I've only seen part of Street of Crocs--can't take it all and the fabulous weed killer commercials they did a couple years ago--my favorite stop mo of all time belief it or not! I think in their films I like their titles most of all. I'm not into skankie's meat. Sorry. To me the Brothers Quay are important figures in my life because they make fine artful films with the stop motion medium. I guess what keeps me from watching the oeuvre is that I prefer relatable stories in film rather than, what is to me, abstract. That's why the weed killer ads (Round Up) really got me because it was the first Quay I've seen that I could get inside and like.Shelley Noblehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10968333057020378002noreply@blogger.com
